Holy Heist Warlord Top 10 Pt. 2

Fire Tail Kamikaze Mmmm dragons, my favorite subtype. This bewinged beast got some incredible value in it. He costs 6 for decent stats at 4/3/3 but his text is just full of potential value. When he enters play you can inflict 3 to a character, which hopefully will kill it. And that is not all, when he is destroyed you can inflict 3 damage to either a faction or a location of your choice. So the best scenario for this card is that you play him, kill a character, either get a removal from your opponent or trade him for a character in battle then kill a location that would be a 3 for 1, which is incredible. He is quite similar to Dragon Archer because they both want to be played, destroy a character and leave a decent sized character on the table. Rudo Mangod, Holder of Light The third unique Rudolphus is here and he is something special. When he is restored all your characters get buffed, 1 strength and 1 life. If you play a gear on him, like Everlasting Blade of Light, he will restore at the start of your opponents turn, which means you can attack with him and still get the buff on your characters. I can see this card either being played in a Gearsmith deck with tons of micromajigs or in a mono Warlord deck get your opponent down to 0 as fast as possible. Holy Heist Warlord Top 10 Pt. 1

Hi all! This is the first in a two-part article examining the top 10 Warlord cards in Holy Heist! Check back tomorrow for the second half! Raging Ferocity A new mechanic introduced in Holy Heist were a cycle of resources that you had to play face down. All of them can be flipped up to get a specific effect and they all provide one threshold from their trade once they are face up. They have some really unique effects and the Warlord one is no exception. For the cost of 4 you will inflict X-Y, where X is the amount of resources your opponent has and Y is the amount you have in play. This card has some incredible potential. You can either play this in an aggressive shell where you don’t play that many resources and have this as a finisher if your opponent is starting to take back control of the game or play this as a win condition paired with Siege Machine. Oh yes, that is a sweet combo, you can first destroy most of your resources to inflict damage then flip Raging Ferocity for even more damage. A small note about the cycle: they all become unattached once they flip up which is a small plus. Overly Eager Exemplar I have had this page in my binder with a bunch of soldiers but I never actually sleeved them up to try and play a soldier deck. And when this card finally makes soldier look good, Seed is gone. Oh well, maybe this can be enough to try out a soldier deck after all. Overly Eager...
